Doggie Ice Cream

November 22, 2007 at 12:26 am | Posted in Dog Treats | 3 Comments

So, the dog biscuits weren’t enough?  I was on a spoil my dog kick and decided to make doggie ice cream. I got this recipe on the nest and of course, I can’t remember who I got it from. If it was you … let me know so I can give you credit because Puddles loves these too! Luckily, she’s smart enough to know that ice cream can not be hidden easily and needs to be eaten right away. Phew. Cleaning melty yogurty ice cream up would not be my idea of a good time.

Ingredients

32 oz. plain yogurt
1 mashed banana
2 T peanut butter
2 T honey

Directions

Mash the banana, mix everything else in (a blender or food processor will work well) and pour into ice cream trays. Let freeze. Once they’re frozen you can transfer to a freezer ziploc to save on freezer space and for easier access.

  2. I think that can be arranged, but you’d need to live in Boston. I don’t do long distance pets 😛
